ProfiNRG installs 6,934 panels with Wave

ProfiNRG, a leading builder and O&M party for large-scale solar energy installations in the Netherlands, installed nearly 7,000 panels with CPX’s Wave system at the new Aldi distribution centre on the A1 highway near Deventer. Good for a yield of approximately 4.0 MWh/year. A few questions to ProfiNRG’s Eddy Bosch, project leader at ProfiNRG, about this project resulted in the following:

“At ProfiNRG, we have been supplying PV installations to our customers for more than 10 years. We work directly on behalf of agricultural and large business companies, governments, construction and installation companies, or on behalf of developers.

For this project, the assignment was clear: realize the best designed installation with maximum power at minimum cost. “We were responsible for the entire process from design and planning to assembly and aftercare. Because quality is of paramount importance at ProfiNRG, we only work with leading manufacturers and suppliers. That is how we ended up with CPX for this assignment, with their Wave system.”

“One of the things that was pleasant about the collaboration with CPX was that their team of engineers contributed ideas in designing the smartest configuration on the roof. And due to the low availability of solar panels, we had to change the design shortly before construction started. Engineers from CPX supported us quickly and professionally so that we could start with the installation without any delay with an adapted design”.

“Because we work with large and long panels, Wave was a logical choice. By clamping on the long side and optimal panel support by 2 base units under each panel, each panel is supported to the maximum.”

ProfiNRG was previously introduced to Wave, albeit in a pilot project.
